As soon as you have registered, you will be receiving invites to participate in research studies. To ensure you receive the surveys that fit your profile, update your personal information by checking out our new profile questionnaires.

To avoid that our e-mails end up in your spam, we suggest you add no-reply@mail.futuretalkers.com to your contact list or address book.

What about my privacy?

Future Talkers is obliged to keep secret the private data of this panel’s members and participants vis-à-vis third parties, as is described in the privacy policy. This privacy policy can be read here.

What is the minimum age for joining Future Talkers?

Unfortunately you are only allowed to join Future Talkers from the age of 16 onwards. The age restriction for Future Talkers respects strict regulations and we cannot stray from this rule.

My account

How do I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe from our database at any given time. All you have to do is log in and deactivate your account. You can even use the same account later on: simply log in and reactivate your account.

How do I update my personal profile?

On the My Profile page, you can update all your personal information and fill in other profile questionnaires, so we can select the right studies for your profile.

I forgot my password.

Click ‘Forgot my password’ in the login area on the homepage or click here.

My e-mail address has changed. What should I do?

It is very important to adjust your profile when your e-mail address has changed. This will keep you from missing out on new invitations. All you need to do is log on to this site and change your e-mail address in the form.

Several members of my family use the same e-mail address. Can we all subscribe using this same address?

It is very important for every family member to subscribe with an individual e-mail address since everyone is selected on the basis of the profile questionnaires. This helps us to make sure that no one else participates in a survey actually meant for you.

Research studies

As a Future Talker, what types of research studies should I expect?

There are different types of research studies you can expect to be invited for:

  • Online surveys
  • Online real-time discussion groups with a small group of people
  • Online research communities with around 50 to 150 people discussing a shared topic over a longer period of time
  • Individual blogging talking to a moderator one-on-one on a daily basis
  • Online real-time interviews

The subjects of those studies can differ as well. This can go from evaluating a service to testing new products or talking about your day-to-day television watching habits.

The studies you will be invited for can either be initiated by InSites Consulting, the owner of the Future Talkers panel, or by CINT, our partner. You will recognize the difference in the invites sent to you.

How often will I be invited?

We try to give everyone equal opportunity to participate so as not to spam you with too many research projects. The frequency of the invitations can vary from one a month to once a week, with the exception of the Super Talkers, who will receive a maximum of one invite a day.

I subscribed but I (almost) never receive a survey.

For some surveys the participants need a specific profile (age, education, hobbies...). In other words, it is perfectly possible that you are invited less frequently because we are looking for people with a profile which is different from yours.

Check the e-mail address you entered when you joined the panel. People have been known to make typos in their subscription or to change their e-mail address without modifying their profile in the panel. You can always consult your e-mail address and other personal particulars here.

To avoid that our e-mails end up in your spam, we advise you to add no-reply@mail.futuretalkers.com to your contact list or address book.

Is participation obligatory?

Definitely not. Of course we prefer you to participate in every study we invite you for, but life gets busy sometimes, so we understand if you cannot participate every single time. In the invite, you have the opportunity to decline participation in that specific study, which ensures we will not send you any reminder mails for that study anymore.

The link in the invitation mail does not work.

If the ‘GO TO SURVEY!’ button does not work, you can try copy the entire link at the bottom of the e-mail invitation to a new web browser window.

Why didn't I qualify for the survey?

You may not qualify for a survey for many different reasons such as demographic criteria and/or consumer habits. We make sure to place questions that could disqualify our members from the survey at the beginning of the survey.

Another reason for which you may be stopped from completing a survey is because we have reached the requested number of respondents for your particular profile, in which case the system closes the survey automatically.

We recommend you keep your profile up to date, as this will increase your chances of getting invited to surveys for which you match the profile.

Why do I get transferred automatically from one survey to another?

Surveys are sent automatically when your profile closely matches most of the requirements of the survey.

However, there will be times when a sufficient number of people have already participated or when you are screened out. Instead of totally stopping your participation, the system automatically searches for another survey that also closely matches your profile.

That way you get another opportunity to participate in another survey and obtain a reward.

Rewards

How do I get rewarded?

For each research study you participate in, you will earn cash rewards. The amount of the reward will depend on the length of the survey or the intensity of the research community.

How do I redeem my rewards?

For each research study you participate in, you will earn cash rewards. The amount of the reward will depend on the length of the survey or the intensity of the research community.

As soon as you have reached the minimum redeemable amount, you can redeem through PayPal (or another option if PayPal is not available in your country).

  1. To begin, you must have a PayPal account. If you do not have one, go to www.paypal.com and register.
  2. It is important that your PayPal account is linked to you through the same e-mail address as the one you receive our surveys on. The money is paid into a PayPal account with the same e-mail address as the one used for sending you survey invites. If you already have a PayPal account with a different e-mail address, we advise you to add the e-mail address you receive surveys on. This option is available in your PayPal account under your profile settings. It is possible to connect up to 8 e-mail addresses to one single PayPal account.
  3. Once you have reached the redeemable amount, click ‘Redeem’ on your 'Rewards' page and your money will be transferred to your online PayPal account. Please note there is a 2% fee per transaction for PayPal payments, so the amount appearing in your Paypal account will be 2% less than the amount you saved up through Future Talkers.
  4. Please make sure that you log in to your PayPal account to accept the transfer.
  5. You can then use the money in your PayPal account to make online purchases or you can transfer the money to your own bank account (please note that PayPal charges an additional fee for this). For further support on setting up and using PayPal, go to www.paypal.com.

If your rewards are left unclaimed for 30 days, the rewards will be returned to your panel account. You will then have to start up the transfer again to move the money to your PayPal account.

Payment solution is not available for the moment, please try again later

This message appears when PayPal is trying to connect to your panel account. You will see your attempted transfer as “FAILED”. Please wait 2 to 4 days before re-attempting to transfer the money. After 2 to 4 days the connection will have reset itself and will allow the transfer to take place.

What is the minimum and maximum amount to redeem?

The minimum and maximum redeemable amount is country dependent and can be found in the table below. Here, you can also see the currency in which we pay out in each country.

The minimum amount means that you have to save up until you obtain the minimum threshold before you will be able to redeem. The maximum amount means that if your amount saved is higher than the maximum, you will only be able to redeem this maximum amount, and the rest of your amount saved will still remain available in your account.
